CNS DEMOLITION BASIC ORDERING AGREEMENT
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
GEM Technologies is currently providing decontamination and demolition services to Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC (CNS) for facilities across the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. To date, GEM has been awarded all tasks we have bid under this Basic Ordering Agreement. Work scope under this project has included radiological fluid sampling and drainage, building demolition, waste size reduction and disposition (segregation, packaging, labeling, transportation, and disposition) and site restoration activities.
GEM’s project team has delivered hundreds of thousands in cost savings to CNS for task releases by implementing a Beryllium-trained, Radiological Worker II trained, Q-cleared workforce to support the highly complex task orders within the Alpha-5 and Beta-4 facilities, two of the NNSA’s Top 10 Highest-Risk Facilities in the nation.
