BASE OPERATIONS SUPPORT FOR MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE

FACILITIES & INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT SERVICES

GEM provided facility investment services on behalf of NAVFAC at Marine Corps Logistics Base – Albany in Southern Georgia.

Since 2011, GEM Technologies has been part of a joint venture called Facilities Improvement Services (FIS) to provide base operations support services including investment services, preventative and unscheduled maintenance for equipment, minor construction/demolition, environmental services, and building and structure maintenance on behalf of NAVFAC at Marine Corps Logistics Base – Albany in Southern Georgia. Under this contract for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic, we were responsible for approximately 1.2M ft2 of space in 360 buildings with 950 pieces of equipment.

As part of a performance assessment, our client provided the following feedback with regards to the quality of our performance:

FIS provided outstanding results in regards to workmanship; the QC manager does a great job of finding issues before they arise and cause major issues down the line and following up on them within a short amount of time. I received numerous Bravo Zulu’s from customers regarding their workmanship and effort, as FIS would treat some routine’s as emergencies as well which helped us from experiencing larger issues with our equipment/mission.
